This annual program serves local Dade County public elementary schools in the North Miami area.
Children challenged by socioeconomic, physical, mental and other stressors are offered an alternative method of
developing self-discipline, self-esteem and self-respect by fusing traditional Asian arts and culture with
academic enrichment.
This program collaborates with other non-profits and universities in providing traditional kung fu, chi gung,
tai chi, daily meditation, taiko drumming, calligraphy, kite making, computer animation and academic tutoring
(SES supported) to provide an original and holistic approach to developing success oriented youth.
Master Rubio, a direct disciple of the ancient lineage of the Shaolin temple states, "The Shaolin system of
kung fu is an ideal art for children as it blends a harmonious union of theory and practice to create a mastery
of mind and body control, which serves as a powerful tool for early childhood development".
