Our Green Carpet Grand Opening Event for the Dragon Garden, and its affiliated program at the Enchanted Park, in North Miami on December 12, 2009. The City of North Miami Mayor Pierre, City officials, local business members, and the community came out to show support. We look forward to many years of growth and service. Latest Additions to Heroes Unite Staff 2010 is off to a great start with the additions of Maribel Pizarro, GBG Program Director, and Filippo Prini, Business Intern. We are very excited to welcome them to the team! Upcoming Events You will find us performing Lion Dances, Taiko drumming and promoting our programs at four upcoming events: • Saturday, March 20th, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm F.A.C.T. Festival — Families Against Crime Together, in partnership with The City of North Miami, The Police Athletic League, and Johnson & Wales University. Griffing Park on 123rd Street and West Dixie Hwy. • Saturday, February 20th, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm David Lawrence K -8 Center — 2010 Health fair at 15000 Bay Vista Blvd. • Thursday, February 18th - All day Whole Foods has invited us to perform, as well as receive 5% of their sales as a donation, so PLEASE do your shopping on the 18th and meet our staff and students. We will also perform and solicit on Saturday, February 13th to provide advance notice of this promotion. Join us at 207th Street in Aventura. • Wednesday, February 17th, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm Barry University — Volunteer Fair at Landon Student Atrium on N.
